The intention of the congress was to bring together scientists, practicians,
pedagogues and therapists to develop a common stock-taking of scientific
knowledge and to facilitate an applicable concept of psychomotor behaviour.
In the first main topic the different developmental tendencies in
the field of psychomotor behaviour including theoretical positions
and practical consequences in the participating countries have been
discussed.
The second main emphasis was the examination of the importance of
psychomotor activity involved with human development which was to be
compared with the different developmental theories and possible consequences
for pedagogical and therapeutical work.
